Glass Supply, Fabrication and Installation

Daltex Glass operates as a wholesaler with its own fabrication, supplying glass, aluminum, hardware and glazing materials to the trade and installing them where installation is part of the scope. You can buy material only, buy material fabricated to your sizes, or hand over the whole package.

For contractors, the practical value is that the glass and the framing come from the same place. Sizes are cut to suit the system they are going into rather than adapted on site. Send a schedule, a cut list or drawings to Orders@daltexglass.com for pricing.

Glass Products

Insulated glass

Manufactured in-house, which is the reason units can be made to a project’s exact sizes and make-up rather than sourced in and adjusted. Specification options include low-emissivity coatings, argon fills, warm-edge spacers, tints and reflective coatings, and laminated components within the unit.

Tempered glass

Heat-treated so that it breaks into small blunt granules rather than long shards. It is the standard safety glazing for doors, sidelights, ground-floor storefronts, shower enclosures and any pane within reach. All holes, notches and cut-outs must be machined before the glass is tempered.

Laminated glass

Two or more panes bonded around an interlayer. Fragments stay attached to the interlayer when broken, so the panel keeps acting as a barrier , which is why laminated make-ups are used for guards, security glazing and overhead applications. Laminated glass also gives meaningfully better acoustic performance than monolithic glass of the same thickness.

Custom-cut glass

Cut, shaped and edged to your dimensions or to a template, in clear, tinted, obscured, toughened and laminated stock. Edge finishes include polished, bevelled and seamed. Templates give better results than dimensions for anything that is not a plain rectangle.

Aluminum Storefront Materials

Framing members, mullions, sills, pressure plates, caps, gaskets and glazing accessories for storefront and entrance systems. Framing can be supplied in stock lengths or cut and prepared to a takeoff, and is available in clear, dark bronze and black anodized finishes as well as powder-coated colours.

Finish selection has more effect on lead time than any other single decision, so confirm it as early in the process as possible.

Commercial Doors and Frames

Aluminum stile-and-rail doors in narrow, medium and wide stile configurations, all-glass door leaves, door frames, sidelight and transom framing. Doors can be supplied prepared for specific hardware, or supplied as blanks. Where an all-glass leaf is involved, hardware positions must be confirmed before fabrication, because cut-outs are machined ahead of tempering and cannot be altered.

Shower Glass and Hardware

Toughened shower panels cut and drilled to your sizes, alongside one of the deeper shower hardware ranges available at wholesale: hinges, clamps, U-channels, headers, support bars, pull handles, towel bars, seals, wipes, thresholds, strikes and sliding door systems. Fabricators and bath remodelers regularly buy glass and matching hardware together on a single order. The full shower hardware catalog is online with trade pricing shown once signed in.

Mirrors

Mirror cut to size with polished, bevelled or seamed edges, including cut-outs for sconces, outlets and fixings. Supplied for vanity and wall applications, gym and studio runs, retail fit-outs and hospitality installations, as single pieces or in quantity for a project.

Architectural Glass Hardware

Patch fittings, floor and overhead closers, pivots, standoffs, base shoe and railing hardware, glass clamps, locks and pull handles for architectural applications. Where a project needs a consistent finish across doors, partitions and railings, specifying the full set at once avoids the mismatched result that comes from ordering piecemeal over time.

Glazing Supplies

The consumables that keep a glazing crew working: setting blocks, gaskets, glazing tape, sealants, suction cups and handling tools, shims and fixings. These are stocked in the glazing supplies range so a crew can pick up materials in the same visit as the glass.

Custom Fabrication

Fabrication covers cutting to size and to template, edge working, drilling and notching, tempering, laminating and insulated unit assembly. Everything is produced to a confirmed cut list or drawing.

  • Supply a cut list, a schedule, a drawing or a physical template
  • Confirm glass type, thickness and make-up
  • Mark all holes, notches and cut-outs with positions dimensioned from a stated edge
  • Specify the edge finish required
  • Confirm whether panels are being tempered, since nothing can be cut or drilled afterwards

The most common cause of a rejected panel is a hole position dimensioned from the wrong edge. Stating the reference edge explicitly on the drawing removes that risk.

Material Delivery

Fabricated material can be collected from Farmers Branch or delivered. For project work, deliveries are scheduled to the site programme rather than dropped in one load, which keeps glass off a live jobsite where it is exposed to damage from other trades. Ordering, collection and delivery terms are set out on the payment and delivery page.

Professional Installation

Where installation is part of the scope, Daltex Glass installs what it fabricates: storefronts and entrances, commercial windows and doors, interior partitions, railings, shower enclosures, mirrors and custom glass. That removes the split-responsibility problem that arises when one company supplies and another fits, and it means the person measuring is accountable for the result.

Supply-only remains available throughout. Many glazing contractors use Daltex Glass purely for fabricated material and install with their own crews.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy material without installation?

Yes. Supply-only is a core part of the business. Glazing contractors, general contractors and remodelers regularly order fabricated glass, aluminum, hardware and consumables for their own crews to install. Send a cut list or schedule and the material can be prepared for collection or delivery.

Do I need a trade account to order?

Trade pricing is shown to account holders once signed in to the online catalog, which is how wholesale pricing is handled. Contact the team to set an account up. One-off orders from individuals are also handled, though pricing is quoted directly rather than shown online.

What information do you need to fabricate glass to size?

Dimensions or a template, the glass type and thickness, the edge finish, and the position of any holes, notches or cut-outs dimensioned from a clearly stated edge. Confirm whether the panel is being tempered, because once glass is toughened nothing further can be cut or drilled into it.

What is the difference between tempered and laminated glass?

Tempered glass is heat-treated and breaks into small blunt granules, but the whole panel fails at once. Laminated glass bonds panes around an interlayer, so fragments stay attached and the panel keeps acting as a barrier after breakage. Laminated also performs better acoustically at equivalent thickness.

Can you deliver to a jobsite?

Yes, and for project work deliveries are usually phased to the site programme rather than sent in a single load. That keeps fabricated glass off a live site where it is exposed to damage from other trades. Confirm access, offloading arrangements and a delivery window when the order is placed.

Do you make insulated glass units in-house?

Yes. Insulated units are manufactured in-house, which is why they can be produced to a project’s exact sizes and specification rather than ordered in and adapted. That covers coating selection, cavity fill, spacer type and laminated components within the unit.
